Ⅲ. Teaching Procedures
1. Warming up
Get the Ss to say something about their favorite food / drink / sport, using the following patterns:
⑴What do you usually have for breakfast / lunch / supper?
⑵What’s your favorite food / drink?
⑶---Why do you like ….best?
  ---Because….
2. Leading in
T: What’s your favorite sport?
Do you like swimming / running / walking?
S: ---Yes, I do.
  ---No, I don’t.
T: Look! Here’s a Mr Qq. (A picture)
  He likes fishing, too.
What’s he doing now?
He is….
S: …fishing. (Repeat)
(For the following pictures, do the same as the above.)
3. Practice
Get the Ss to play a guessing game, (Pictures)
Using: ⑴What’s he doing? He’s dancing.
⑵---Is he singing?
  ---Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t.
4. Discussion
T: Let’s talk about what we are learning now, when to use present Continuous Tense and how to use it.
S: We are learning  现在进行时 (Bb.)
    主+be+doing  (Bb.)
T: Can you make up some sentences, using the following patterns?

⑴用现在进行时改写下列句子。
①She sits under the tree.

⑵用所给动词的适当形式填空。

新课程理念强调课堂小社会,生活大课堂,课堂生活化,生活即课堂。我在英语第七册(上)Unit 5语法——现在进行时的教学中,引导学生通过自主、合作、探究的学习方式,把所学内容与生活实际联系起来,让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中学习真实的语言,使英语教学贴近生活,回归生活,更富有真实、生动的生活气息。
教学过程的设计
    Ⅰ. Revision
(激活学生原有的知识与经验,为引出新知识做好辅垫)
T:Look at me! Am I slim? Why am I so fat?(谈论教者外貌,引导复习Unit 4中的重点句型)
Ss: Because you eat too much meat.
   Because you never exercise. / etc.
T:(指着一学生)What about you?
   Do you like sports?
   Do you like swimming?
   Do you like playing computer games?(复习动词的-ing形式,为新授内容作好铺垫)
Ⅱ. Presentation and practice
(在学生原有的知识与经验上生成新的知识并进行巩固训练)
T:(出示一幅Mr. Qq 在钓鱼的画)
Look! Here’s a Mr Qq.
He likes fishing.
What is he doing now?(重复2—3遍)
Ss:He is fishing.(学生脱口而出,并让学生重复这一句,然后又出示几幅学生平时喜闻乐见的动画,让学生用现在进行时反复操练)
在学生对现在进行时句子结构几乎可以脱口而出的时候,又让学生进行一组猜谜游戏,以引出现在进行时的一般疑问句,特殊疑问句及他们的回答方式,其间的过渡相当巧妙、自然。最后再要求他们根据示范对话,编一相似对话,巩固所学内容。

就现在进行时这一概念及什么时候用,怎么用,我没有直接灌输给学生,而是让学生在进行充分的听、看、说的训练后自己去讨论,去总结。
T:What are we learning now?
(让学生讨论,并告诉学生可以用中文。)
S:We are learning 现在进行时
T:When to use it?
    How to use it?
(继续讨论)
(教者把学生讨论的结果写在黑板上)
即:主+be+doing,并要求他们用现在进行时的基本结构进行造句。
此时的课堂气氛相当活跃。最后把学生总结的结果打在屏幕上,让学生读一遍,以形成完整系统的知识结构。这一节课中动词的现在分词,对学生来说是一个难点,我并没因此独占课堂,而是穿针引线,适时点拨,所占的时间不过8分钟,我把大约32分钟的时间交给学生,让学生自己去听、说、读、写;自己去交流、感悟;去发现、探究和解决问题。结果,教学效果很好,学生基本上能读准、说对、听懂和写出目标语言,并进行得体的合作交流。
我们学生的发言都给以高度评价,尊重他们的独特理解和感受,让学生在个性化学习的基础上进行交流,大大地激发了学生主动参与学习的热情。
Ⅳ. Practice
在进行了大量的师生交流,生生多维的互动交流,并通过探究合作基本掌握了这一时态的用法后,再通过学生一系列的,循序渐进的练习来加以巩固,取得了较好的教学效果。
Ⅴ. Ending
以一首学生们都会唱的童谣,填上新词,进一步巩固所学知识,让学生在轻松愉快的氛围中再次感受到学英语的快乐。
课后反思
在这节课的整个学习活动中,学生都是在谈论身边的人和事,他们所接触的、运用的语言都和他们的日常生活紧密相关。
长期的教学经验告诉我,学生最讨厌的课就是老师“一言堂”,没有他们自己的表现机会,剥夺了他们自主学习的权利。在这一课上,我不是把新知识硬灌输给学生,而是引导他们主动探索、交流合作,把学习的时空交给学生自己,但又不是任其放纵,在整个的过程中,我始终定位在一个组织者、合作者、参与者的角色,认真观察学生的学习状态,当他们有疑惑时,我提供帮助;当有的同学在小组讨论中的状态不积极时我走过去加以提醒,并给予指导;当他们讨论完毕,安静下来的时候,我引导他们在全班交流,让他们表现自己。在整节课中,我都以奔放的激情感染学生,并给每一位学生以激励,对发言流畅的学生,我夸他的英语讲得好;对表达不完整的学生,我夸他是个有爱心、有进步的好孩子;对认真倾听的学生,我夸他很懂礼貌,很会学习;对准备充分的学生,我夸他爱动脑、勤动手;对在思想上有误区的学生,我引导他们自我反思,自我调节,而不横加指责;对犯有知识错误的学生,我引导他们自己改正。试想,如果我们能够长此以往,不断反思和调整自己的教学策略,尊重学生的独特理解和感受,学生的英语水平一定会有一个快速而稳步的提高。
